Q&A with Becca Cheever

Q. What recent industry trends have you found noteworthy?
A. I think the growing understanding of the mind-body connection and the interdependency of physical and mental wellness is quite noteworthy! It is wonderful to see more and more of us working to better our lives and selves both physically AND psychologically.

Q. What are your current wellness goals and how are you addressing them?
A. My main wellness goal right now is to improve my sleep schedule and to better my sleep quality. I created morning and evening routines and am practicing them every day to work towards this goal. So far I have found avoiding technology within one hour of sleep (in both the evening and morning) to be life-changing!

Q. What is your favorite beautiful spot in Milwaukee?
A. My favorite spot in Milwaukee is the grassy bluff on the east side of Wahl Ave. It is an amazing spot for enjoying the sunshine, admiring Lake Michigan, reading, and meditating!

Q. What is your favorite place to eat in Milwaukee?
A. It has got to be Cloud Red on Oakland! Their food and beverages are unique, delicious, and vegan-friendly.

Q. What are your top three favorite things to do/hobbies?
A. I have been super into tennis and pickleball recently and find myself playing at least one of the two every day. I also love painting and creating collages — especially using photos of beautiful moments in my life!

Q. What do you do to de-stress?
A. To de-stress I love spending time sitting outside with a journal, a good book, and a delicious iced matcha. Taking that time to reflect and focus on myself makes a world of difference.
