Take this time to truly take care of yourself. We begin with an easy yoga movement sequence preparing the body for mindful rest. We will explore various meditation studies, including Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness, and Metta (loving-kindness meditation).
During the second half of the class, we will explore various forms of meditation. Our main focus will be Yoga Nidra which translates to “yoga sleep.” It is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” or hypnagogic stage, assisted by a gentle guided meditation. In Yoga Nidra, you are fully conscious while in a deeply relaxed state.
Expect Yoga Nidra in the 1st and 3rd weeks and meditation studies in the 2nd and 4th weeks.
