Massage Therapist

Zoe Faulkner has been a licensed massage therapist since 2020. She in love with the industry and hopes to keep practicing for years to come. She came to massage as a response to the current opioid epidemic. She quickly learned that most folks will take a pill as a first defense from pain. The only way to truly overcome is to work through the pain. The healing capabilities of touch run deeper than physical well-being. Massage therapy is a wonderful way to reconnect with yourself if and when you are feeling seasonal depression or anxiety, and just overall life stress.
As a roller skater, she has worked on many folks at the moment, including hip traction on the rink floors, manual glute stretches in the skateparks, and psoas release in the literal street. She enjoys helping her regular massage client in Milwaukee achieve their pain-free body goals for years. She is excited to help you with your goals.
In 2020, she completed her Massage Therapy training at the Institute of Beauty and Wellness in Milwaukee, WI.
Her styles of massage include Relaxation, Deep Tissue / Sports, Prenatal massage and Hot Stone massage.

Q&A with Zoe Faulkner
Q. How long have you been a massage therapist?
A. I started my journey in 2019 when I started schooling at the Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness. I graduated in March of 2020 and have been working in the industry ever since!
Q. What areas do you specialize in?
A. I specialize in deep tissue, specifically the lower back and glutes. I also enjoy working with pregnant folks!
Q. What brought you to your current style of practice?
A. Working at my first massage job, every client was looking for a therapeutic approach. Eventually, most of my clients were regulars to me. I love the concept of being able to track my client’s progress in real-time!
Q. What can a new client expect?
A. A new massage therapy client can expect to be treated with kindness and care. I believe in giving everybody a similar first massage. I like to do a full body just as a way to assess the body, and from there we can customize it to the client’s needs!
Q.What recent industry trends have you found most noteworthy?
A. The trend of mindfulness and meditation as a way to manage pain has been extremely eye-opening to me. I am also interested in learning more about the craniosacral massage therapy technique and approach.
Q. What are your current personal wellness goals and how are you addressing them?
A. My current goals are to get more massages myself and stretch every single day, no matter what!
Q. What is your favorite beautiful spot in Milwaukee?
A. I adore Doctor’s Park in Glendale! It’s very serene and quiet, and has beautiful landscapes that lead you down to Lake Michigan. And there’s a nature preserve right next door!
Q. What is your favorite place to eat in Milwaukee?
A. My favorite restaurant is Odd Duck! It’s on the fancier side but the small plates and wine list are totally worth it!
Q. What are your top three favorite things to do/hobbies?
A. I love to roller skate everywhere and anywhere! Outside, the skate park, the rink. I love to paint with watercolors too. And I love to take photos. Nature is my favorite thing to photograph, especially by the lake.
Q. What do you do to de-stress?
A. Usually, I like a long walk in the summertime. But, in winter I like to cuddle up in bed with my cat and listen to murder mystery podcasts!
